Schauer 3rd at State, Sets School Record 

It’s a top three finish and new school pole vault record for Jake Schauer in the Division II state track and field meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. Schauer cleared 14 feet, 6 inches to place third in state. 

OHS Wins Girls' and Boys' Track & Field Titles 

After two days of competition, the OHS girls' and boys' are the SWBL track and field champions. 

OHS Duo Headed to Districts 

Oakwood High School junior Sam Lahmon and sophomore Nathan Boyce are headed to the Division II Southwest Ohio District Tennis Tournament May 17 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason after placing in the Top 4 of 28 competing at Sectionals. 

OHS Senior Headed to UD 

Congratulations to Oakwood High School senior Rachel Thielen. Next year, Thielen will be attending the University of Dayton and cheering for the Flyers.  

OHS Track Competes at Wayne Invite 

Oakwood High School track team competed in the Wayne Invitational April 26 - 27. The event is one of the largest meets in the area, attracting more than 60 teams. The OHS girls placed 15th and the boys finished 25th.  

Caplette Commits to Ohio Wesleyan 

Congratulations to OHS senior Dylan Caplette! Caplette will be headed to Ohio Wesleyan University to further his education and play football. He's gone from Lumberjack to Battling Bishop! 

OHS Senior Commits to Wisconsin 

Congratulations to OHS senior Aidan Olson! Olson signed today to attend the University of Wisconsin and row for the Badgers! 

Talarczyk Signs to Brown 

Congratulations to Oakwood High School senior Brendan Talarczyk. Talarczyk has committed to Brown University, where he will play football for the Bears.  

All Commits to ASU 

OHS senior Isa All has committed to attend and swim at Arizona State University. Congratulations Isa and the Sun Devils! 

Whitaker Signs with Loyola Maryland 

OHS senior Freeman Whitaker is headed to Loyola University Maryland to play lacrosse next year. Go Greyhounds! 

Michael Will Run for Cleveland State 

OHS senior Lily Michael will be running track and cross country next year at Cleveland State! Good luck Lily! 

Kenyon To Swim at OU 

Madeline Kenyon will be a Bobcat starting next year. The OHS senior swimmer will be attending and swimming at Ohio University. Good Luck Madeline.  

Lady Lax Jacks Win 3 in a Row 

With just eight seconds left on the clock, Taylor Shineman gave Oakwood the lead and the 13-12 win over Seven Hills. The Lady Lax Jacks have won three in a row. 

Boys' Tennis Starts Season with Win 

Oakwood High School’s boys’ varsity tennis is off to a good start with a first match SWBL win over Monroe April 5. Winning at singles were Sam Lahmon, Ryan Clark and Michael O’Hara. Peter Haverland and Logan Connally won at doubles. 

OJHS Boys' Lacrosse Competes in Steel City Shootout 

OJHS boys' lacrosse competed in the Steel City Shootout April 21. The boys' came from behind in the final game to beat Lakota East and take second place in the tournament. 

Boys' Tennis Improves to 4-2 

Boys' varsity tennis is now 4-2 after beating CJ 4-1 Friday.  

Golf Team Volunteers in Off Season 

OHS boys' golf team members have been volunteering this winter at Pirate Packs, a service group providing food for kids in need.  

OHS Senior to Row for OSU 

OHS Senior Katherine Reymann will be attending The Ohio State University next year to row for the Buckeyes. 

OJHS Boys' Lacrosse Falls to Springboro in OT 

Jack Elpey scores to tie the game at 4-4, sending the Jacks and the Panthers into OT. Springboro beat Oakwood 5-4. 

Goeller Commits to Ohio Northern 

Congratulations to Caroline Goeller. The Oakwood High School senior signed to attend Ohio Northern University and play soccer for the Polar Bears next year. 

OJHS Girls' Lacrosse Wins at Home 

OJHS girls' lacrosse beat Tipp City 12-5 Monday, May 7 to secure their first win at home. 

OHS Places at State Meet 

It’s five top 20 finishes and two new Oakwood High School records for members of the OHS track and field team n the Division II state track and field meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus.
