Announcements and Important Events
The Lane Stadium Donor Appreciation public art display was officially dedicated Saturday, Aug. 11 at Lane Stadium.
The seven, three-sided painted metal towers recognize donors who made the stadium possible.
Professional artist Suzanne Ley created the display with the help of Oakwood staff and students.
The three-sided towers create different stories when viewed from different angles. The two sides seen from inside the stadium, walking on the sidewalk
toward the bleachers and exiting the bleachers, contain graphic images of Oakwood student athletes in motion, participating in the sports played at Lane Stadium. The side seen walking in also contains the donor recognition plaques. When viewing the towers from the Old River grass fields, viewers see one continuous image of runners moving across the towers.
Lane Stadium is home to Oakwood field hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and track and field.
